The team has never failed to astonish their fans in their matches and have even restricted Royal Challengers Bangalore for just 49.

#5) KKR vs MI (2019)
Mumbai Indians were looking to register a straight ninth victory over Kolkata Knight Riders but KKR was in no mood to give the match up. Playing his first full season with Kolkata Knight Riders, Shubman Gill made the opportunity count with a sublime 76 runs of 45 deliveries. Because of Gill’s innings, Kolkata had reached 97 at the end of 10 overs.
Andre Russell was frustrated and had criticized the team management as they sent him down the order. The player was promoted and he took every bowler to the cleaners. Kolkata reached 232 at the end of 20 overs. Chasing a daunting target, Hardik Pandya kept the team in the chase with 91 off 34. His dismissal led to KKR’s victory at Wankhede.
#4) KKR vs KXIP (2018)
Kolkata Knight Riders were up against Ravichandran Ashwin KXIP at Mohali stadium and the game ended up as a run feast. A total of 459 runs were scored in the game and out of those, 75 were scored by Sunil Narine. Sunil Narine’s early onslaught along with Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik’s late innings allowed KKR to post a humongous total of 245 for the loss of six wickets.
Though KL Rahul gave the flying restart they couldn’t chase it as the run rate kept on mounting.

KKR were the champions of the 2014 season and they even ended up in the top two of the league standings. Kolkata Knight Riders were out of the tournament by then and were playing for pride. The star players were unavailable and Ajantha Mendis proved ineffective.
