#6 Quinton de Kock
At number six is South African wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock. Known for his flamboyant strokeplay, Quinton de Kock is, unarguably, one of the best left-handed batsmen South African cricket has ever produced.
He is the fifth-fastest to reach 1000 runs in ODI cricket. He reached the feat in his 21st innings against Zimbabwe in 2014.
#5 Jonathan Trott
Once considered the backbone of the England test team, Jonathan Trott left the game due to personal reasons. He played 68 one-day internationals for England and scored 2819 runs at an average of 51.2.
He sits at fifth in the list of fastest to 1000 runs in ODI cricket. Trott too achieved his feat in 21st innings against Ireland in Bangalore.
#4 Kevin Pietersen
English cricketer Kevin Pietersen didn’t take too much time to announce his arrival in cricket. Pietersen will always be remembered as one of the most stylish and destructive English cricketers of all time.
The right-handed batsman took just 21 innings to reach 1000 runs in ODI cricket. Having played 136 one-day internationals for England, Pietersen is at number four in the list of fastest to 1000 runs in One-Day cricket.
#3 Viv Richards
One of the greatest cricketers to have played the game of cricket, Sir Viv Richards is the third quickest to 100 runs in ODI cricket. Known for his aggressive style of play, Viv Richards represented West Indies in 121 tests and 187 one-day internationals.
He became the third-fastest to reach 1000 runs after completing the landmark in his 21 innings. He achieved the feat against England in Sydney.
#2 Imam ul Haq
Pakistan cricketer Imam ul-Haq announced his arrival in one-day cricketer in an outstanding fashion, hitting a century on his debut against Sri Lanka.
For those of you who don’t know, he is the second-fastest to reach 1000 runs in one-day internationals. He hit a superb 101 against South Africa in what was his 19 ODI-innings and in the process reached the 1000-run mark in one-day cricket.
#1 Fakhar Zaman
The first two positions in the list of fastest to 1000 runs in one-day crickets are attained by Pakistani cricketers. For those of you who don’t know Fakhar Zaman is the quickest to 1000 runs in one-day internationals.
The Pakistan opener took just 18 innings to reach the landmark. He became the fastest to reach 1000 runs in odi cricket while playing against Zimbabwe in 2018.
