Easily one of the greatest T20 batsmen of all-time, former New Zealand skipper sits at the second spot, having reached the 2000 run mark in 66 innings.

Brendon McCullum is counted amongst the most destructive batsmen as his 154 run innings in the first game ever of Indian Premier League suggests. He went on to make massive records in the shortest format of the game.

Overall, McCullum has played 71 matches, amassing 2140 runs at an average of 35.66.


3. Martin Guptill

So far, Martin Guptill has played 88 T20 games in which he has managed to collect 2536 runs with an average of 32.5 and an impressive strike rate of 134.6.

He reached the 2000-run mark in T20s in the year 2009. In what was his 68th T20 innings, Guptil scored his an exemplary knock of 59 runs off 43 balls against Pakistan and in the process reached the feat. As of now, Guptill is the third fastest to score 2000 runs in T20 cricket.
