Most Dangerous Team in IPL
As we all know IPL is going to happen in the United Arab Emirates this year due to the pandemic situation rising alarms day by day in India. The matches will take place at the Dubai International Stadium and Sharjah stadium in Dubai. Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi will also host IPL 2020 matches. As all the three stadiums are not batting friendly we can’t expect high scoring games in this edition of IPL.
It was a wonderful auction for all the teams this year, so let us look at how dangerous and balanced the teams are in Arab conditions. Here are the top 5 dangerous teams in this year’s IPL.
#5) Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
The balance Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has created over the years is impeccable. The core of the batting is the Indian line up and they have all foreign slots to be filled by all-rounders and the pacers. They have invested heavily on spinners this year which might come in handy in Arab conditions.
Sai Kishore is an extreme talent in the domestic circuit but we will have to wait and watch how he performs in the IPL. Don’t be surprised if you see Mitchell Santner opening the innings. The experience they possess and with MS Dhoni leading the way, it could prove dangerous to other teams.
#4) Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
Once again Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) were also one of the balanced squad coming into the auction. They have got a nice hidden buy by name Fabian Allen who may not give you four over’s but is a ferocious finisher and is sensational in the field. Especially this time IPL happening in Arab he can come in handy.
Though it seems that their auction was average, its because they already had a set team. They have invested in young talents which might prove effective in the coming years.
#3) Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
When we think of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) every year in the IPL and say they have got a nice squad and as the season progresses for whatever reason we say oops what’s next, maybe next year. But we can see in this year’s auction they have tried to address all the points which were taunting them all these years. They have created themselves options this year above Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers.
Another good thing is the emergence of strong young Indian core like Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Umesh Yadav back in form. They have even tried to fill in the everlasting death bowling attack. This time it seems as if they have the thing to go the distance.
#2) Delhi Capitals (DC)
Delhi Capitals did a lot in the auction and it seems that they are overcrowded with foreign players which hope so is a happy problem. They have got a very good young core around them. They only have to figure out how they fit in all the four available slots for the foreign players. The only thing they are lagging behind a bit are the quality spinners except Ravichandran Ashwin, especially when playing in Arab conditions.
#1) Mumbai Indians (MI)
The defending champions had the most balanced squad coming into the auction this year. They effectively bought two players. They need an aggressive opener at the top of the order for which they bought Chris Lynn at a base price which was a very good buy. They needed a fast bowling alternate to Lasith Malinga in case anything happened to him who is not getting any younger. They bought Nathan Coulter Nile.
They are fixed with a strong Indian core and the good just got better. Rohit Sharma has had an average couple of IPL’s and is due for a big one which might be this year. Henceforth they are the most balanced and dangerous team coming into this year’s IPL. The only problem Mumbai Indians might face is the back up for the Indian core they have.
